Solid-colour cotton sateen pillowcase in Lavender, for bed pillows

The fabric is dyed through and has no pattern, and the pillowcase is sewn for bed pillows, in sizes from 30×50 cm to 40×145 cm – not for decorative cushions on a sofa. A lavender pillowcase comes into particularly close contact with face and hair. Lavender is one of the colours of our Classico sateen collection.

Lavender in combination

Pillows are the most flexible layer of the bed: they can be swapped, stacked and mixed while the rest stays as it is. For a tone this pale, that makes the pillow the best place for it: on a crumpled pillow the colour gathers in the folds, while on a smooth surface it almost disappears. With Pure White the combination remains light; with Porcelain Blue it keeps to the same cool family. Two pillow sizes together add depth to the bed without introducing a second colour.

The surface in direct contact with the skin

In a satin weave, the warp thread passes over several weft threads, which brings more yarn to the surface. The side you lie on is therefore smooth, with no noticeable texture. The yarn is spun from combed American Pima cotton, a long-staple cotton whose long fibres give a finer yarn with fewer fibre ends standing out. In the trade, sateen made from this kind of cotton is usually sold as ‘Mako satin’; Mako is the Egyptian variety of the same species. The fabric has 320 threads per square inch (320 TC), weighs 120 g/m² and is woven in Northern Italy.

Sizes and made to measure

You can choose from 26 pillow sizes, ranging from 30×50 cm to 40×145 cm, plus a cover for the 15×40 cm neck roll. If your size is not among them, we sew the pillowcase to your measurements – at no extra charge, on request by email or WhatsApp.

Zip and atelier

We sew each pillowcase after your order is placed. The zip is of German manufacture and has a metal slider. It is concealed and colour-matched to the fabric.

Care and certification

The fabric is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Wash Lavender inside out at 40 °C.
