Which fabric suits you?

Four collections, four distinct characters. The differences lie in feel, drape and warmth, not in one being better than another. This comparison also includes the characteristics that may not suit every sleeper.

Percale: cool, matt and dry to the touch

Percale is a densely woven cotton fabric with a matt surface; it feels cool and dry against the skin. The Unico collection is currently available in thirteen colours, from White Pure to Forest Dark Green; the white version can be washed at 60 °C. Percale suits those who prefer their bed to feel cool and favour a calm, matt appearance. It creases more visibly than sateen. Cotton sateen: smooth, fluid and subtly lustrous

Sateen describes a weave rather than a fibre. In a sateen weave, the same combed Pima cotton develops a smooth surface with a subtle sheen and a soft, fluid drape. Black, Taupe Greige and Marble White form the restrained, carefully balanced colour palette of the Classico collection. Cotton sateen feels warmer than percale and should be washed at no more than 40 °C. Explore sateen bedding.

MicroModal: soft, fluid and light

The Buna collection is made from TENCEL™ Modal with Micro technology, derived from European beechwood. Of the four fabrics in our collections, MicroModal has a particularly soft, light feel; White Buna is currently the collection’s only colour. The fabric suits those who prefer a soft, fluid surface to a visibly textured one. It should be washed at no more than 40 °C. Explore TENCEL™ bedding.

Linen: textured, cool and full of character

Linen made from western European flax grown in Belgium and France has the most pronounced natural texture of our four fabrics. Its fibre structure gives it a pleasantly cool feel, and it becomes softer with every wash; White Pure can be washed at 60 °C. The fabric feels firmer at first, and its characteristic creases are part of its character. Those who prefer a smoother surface with a more fluid drape may find cotton sateen or MicroModal more suitable. Explore linen bedding.

One bed, one material world

Each collection is created as a complete set: duvet cover, pillowcase, fitted sheet and flat sheet in the fabrics and colours of that collection. A bedding set in Sage Green percale can therefore be complemented with a sheet in exactly the same fabric and shade. For us, this is not an exception. It is our standard.

Those who wish to combine different tactile qualities can also choose every piece individually, for example a MicroModal duvet cover with a percale sheet. The bed can therefore be composed either within a single material world or as a considered interplay of different fabric characters.

How our bedding is made

The journey of our bedding can be traced through three stages. The fibre: combed American Pima cotton for percale and cotton sateen, European beechwood for MicroModal, and flax from Belgium and France for linen. The weave: all four fabrics are woven in Northern Italy, with each collection defined by its own weave and weight. Details of the respective constructions, weights and further properties can be found on the category pages.

The atelier: our bedding is not made for stock. Each order sets the specification: fabric, colour and size. On this basis, every piece is cut and sewn in our ateliers in Germany and Poland, in standard sizes as well as to individual requirements.

This makes every stage clear: from fibre to fabric to the finished piece.

Bedding for different sizing standards

Common bedding sizes vary from country to country. Examples include 150×200 cm in the United Kingdom, 135×200 cm in Germany and 160×200 cm in Poland. Our shop offers sizes from 135×200 to 280×240 cm. Other sizes can be made to measure, provided the requested dimensions are technically feasible. We confirm the price before you place your order.
