Our pillowcases in percale, cotton sateen, MicroModal and linen are available individually and without a pillow. Choose the fabric and colour together with the dimensions stated on your pillow. If the required size is not available, we will assess your preferred dimensions for technical feasibility. Each pillowcase is sewn to order in our ateliers in Germany and Poland.

Frequently asked questions about pillowcases
Does a pillowcase come with a pillow?
No. This page offers the pillowcase on its own, without a pillow or filling. Filled pillows and cushion pads for decorative cushions are available in separate categories.
What is the difference between a pillowcase, a pillow cover and a pillow slip?
“Pillowcase” is the standard term for the removable fabric cover used on a sleeping pillow. “Pillow slip” is an older or less common term for the same item, while “pillow cover” can also refer more broadly to a protective or decorative cover. In everyday use, the terms may overlap.
What size should my pillowcase be?
Your pillowcase should have the same dimensions as your pillow — an 80×80 cm pillow requires an 80×80 cm pillowcase. The size is shown on the sewn-in label. If no size is given, lay a well-fitting pillowcase flat and measure it from seam to seam.
Which pillowcase sizes does VON SCHÜTZ offer?
We offer 27 sizes and shapes: 26 rectangular sizes, ranging from 30×50 cm and the German standard size of 80×80 cm to longer formats such as 60×100 cm and 40×145 cm, as well as a bolster cover measuring 15 cm in diameter and 40 cm in length.
Can I order a single pillowcase?
Yes — as a replacement, as a second pillowcase to alternate with, or to complement your existing bedding. You are not tied to a fixed set.
Do you make pillowcases in custom sizes or for special shapes?
We assess custom sizes and shapes for technical feasibility. Send us a photograph, the measurements in centimetres and your preferred fabric; for contoured shapes, please also include the height, curves and cut-outs. We do not charge a surcharge for custom sizing. For a special shape, we will confirm the construction and price before you place your order.
What type of closure do the pillowcases have?
Rectangular pillowcases in percale, cotton sateen and MicroModal are finished with a concealed zip. Linen pillowcases have a hotel closure — a folded opening without any visible fastening.
Can I order a second pillowcase in the same colour later?
Yes, as long as the colour and fabric remain part of our collection. We aim for consistent colour across our fabrics, although a later fabric batch may vary slightly in shade.
How do I care for a pillowcase?
Percale and linen can be washed at up to 60 °C, and cotton sateen and MicroModal at up to 40 °C. Always follow the sewn-in care label for the individual product.
