Cotton sateen fitted sheet in Porcelain Blue

The fitted sheet remains visible even when the duvet cover and pillowcases change. On a blue sateen fitted sheet, this shade shows the least colour: pulled taut, the fabric lies almost without folds, and because the blue gathers in the folds, the sheet looks light, almost white. Porcelain Blue is one of the colours of our Classico sateen collection.

Porcelain Blue as the base layer

As a colour, the shade shows more on the duvet cover and pillowcases; on the taut mattress it appears as a very light, cool surface with a hint of blue along the edge of the bed. That is exactly what makes it useful as a base: it works with whatever colour the duvet cover happens to be and never takes over a combination. It is slightly lighter and paler than the Azure Light Blue of our percale collection. For an entirely neutral base, choose sheets in Pure White and keep Porcelain Blue for the layer above.

Side depth and fit

With a fitted sheet, the fit depends not only on the width and length but also on the depth of the sides. This sheet is made for a mattress and topper with a combined depth of 18 to 27 cm. The sides are 30 cm deep; for 60×120 cm, 70×140 cm and 80×160 cm they are 20 cm. The elastic is sewn in all the way round and draws the sheet onto the mattress along all four sides, rather than holding it at the corners alone. The surface of cotton sateen

The fabric is the same as that of the duvet cover and pillowcases: a satin weave in combed American Pima cotton, a long-staple cotton whose long fibres give a finer, more even yarn. In the trade, sateen made from this kind of cotton is usually sold as ‘Mako satin’; Mako is the Egyptian variety of the same species. The sateen has 320 threads per square inch (320 TC), weighs 120 g/m² and is woven in Northern Italy. Its surface is smooth, with no noticeable texture.

You can choose from 22 sizes, ranging from 60×120 cm to 200×220 cm. If your size is not among them, we sew the sheet to your measurements at no extra charge, on request by email or WhatsApp.

Care and certification

The fabric is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Wash Porcelain Blue inside out at 40 °C.
