Cotton sateen fitted sheet in Travertine Beige

The fitted sheet remains visible even when the duvet cover and pillowcases change. In beige, a fitted sheet shows the calmest side of this tone: drawn taut, it lies almost without folds, and the warm mid-tone looks even, without the play of light and shade. Travertine Beige is one of the colours of our Classico sateen collection.

Travertine as the base layer

A sheet in this tone forms a warm base beneath the bedding and works with whatever colour the duvet cover happens to be. Drawn taut, the fabric has few folds, so what you see here is the colour itself – the same fabric that shows light and shade on the duvet cover lies flat and calm on the mattress. Along the edge of the bed, the tone traces a warm line that stands out against pale bedding and merges with it in a Travertine set. Among the neighbouring tones in our range, Travertine sits in the middle: warmer than the grey Taupe Greige from the same Classico collection, and distinctly darker than Cream Light Beige in percale. Anyone who prefers a lighter base can choose sheets in Pure White and keep Travertine for the layer above.

Side depth and fit

With a fitted sheet, the fit depends not only on the width and length but also on the depth of the sides. This sheet is made for a mattress and topper with a combined depth of 18 to 27 cm. The sides are 30 cm deep; for 60×120 cm, 70×140 cm and 80×160 cm they are 20 cm. The elastic is sewn in all the way round and draws the sheet onto the mattress along all four sides, rather than holding it at the corners alone. The surface of cotton sateen

The fabric is the same as that of the duvet cover and pillowcases: a satin weave in combed American Pima cotton, a long-staple cotton whose long fibres give a finer, more even yarn. In the trade, sateen made from this kind of cotton is usually sold as ‘Mako satin’; Mako is the Egyptian variety of the same species. The sateen has 320 threads per square inch (320 TC), weighs 120 g/m² and is woven in Northern Italy. Its surface is smooth, with no noticeable texture.

You can choose from 22 sizes, ranging from 60×120 cm to 200×220 cm. If your size is not among them, we sew the sheet to your measurements at no extra charge, on request by email or WhatsApp.

Care and certification

The fabric is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Wash Travertine Beige inside out at 40 °C.
